Contenuti | Il corso propone un approccio teorico e pratico al fine di sviluppare nello studente la capacità di leggere e comprendere testi che permettano di cogliere i diversi aspetti delle culture francofone. Pertanto, l’obiettivo da perseguire è l’acquisizione di nozioni di civiltà, di storia e di cultura in lingua francese, con particolare risalto alla Francofonia, alle istituzioni sorte in seno all’Organisation internationale de la francophonie (OIF), alle varie suddivisioni territoriali francesi e al francese quotidiano in situazioni interazionali specifiche. Il corso verte altresì sullo studio delle norme e delle direttive volte alla salvaguardia e alla promozione della lingua francese sia all’interno degli stessi Stati francofoni sia all’esterno verso altre entità e identità territoriali, dove il francese viene favorito come veicolo di cultura, di civiltà e di conoscenze varie. Sarà data importanza anche alle problematiche relative all’insegnamento del francese all’interno de “l’espace francophone”. |

Obiettivi formativi | Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione (knowledge and understanding). Lo studente dovrà dimostrare una conoscenza sufficiente degli argomenti previsti; dovrà dimostrare la capacità di comprendere i temi studiati, elaborare testi e sostenere una conversazione in lingua francese a partire dal programma indicato corrispondente al livello B2 del QCER. |

Metodologie didattiche | L’attività didattica si svolge mediante lezioni frontali. Sono previsti incontri seminariali e laboratoriali. La frequenza costante e partecipativa delle lezioni, pur non obbligatoria, è consigliata. |
Metodi di valutazione | Il Corso prevede un’unica valutazione finale mediante colloquio orale con punteggio in trentesimi. Per il superamento con sufficienza (18/30) dell’esame è richiesto il soddisfacimento dei requisiti di cui alla sezione “Obiettivi formativi”, ossia l’aver acquisito conoscenza e capacità di comprensione (knowledge and understanding). |

Programma del corso | Il corso si rivolge a quanti vogliono acquisire una competenza linguistica, teorica e culturale relativa alla lingua francese e alle civiltà francofone. Sarà data particolare importanza al concetto di Francofonia, alle sfide di tutela e di promozione della lingua francese, ai paesi inclusi nel cosiddetto “espace francophone”, nonché alla storia della lingua francese in un duplice approccio: culturale e istituzionale. Saranno estrapolate dai testi di riferimento alcune letture riguardanti le politiche linguistiche francofone e le prospettive contemporanee delle francofonie europee. |

Contents | The course proposes a theoretical and practical approach in order to develop the student's ability to read and understand texts that allow them to grasp the different aspects of French-speaking cultures. Therefore, the objective to be pursued is the acquisition of notions of civilization, history and culture in the French language, with particular emphasis on the Francophonie, the institutions created within the Organisation internationale de la francophonie (OIF), the various French territorial subdivisions and daily French in specific interactional situations. The course also focuses on the study of the rules and directives aimed at safeguarding and promoting the French language both within the French-speaking states themselves and externally to other territorial entities and identities, where French is promoted as a vehicle of culture, civilization and various knowledge. Importance will also be given to issues relating to the teaching of French within "l'espace francophone". |

Course objectives | Knowledge and understanding. The student will have to demonstrate a sufficient knowledge of the expected subjects; must demonstrate the ability to understand the topics studied, to process texts and to hold a conversation in French starting from the program indicated corresponding to level B2 of the CEFR. |

Teaching methods | The didactic activity takes place through frontal lessons. Seminar and workshop meetings are scheduled. The constant and participatory attendance of the lessons, although not compulsory, is recommended. |
Evaluation methods | The Course provides a single final evaluation through an oral interview with a score out of thirty. To pass the exam with enough (18/30), the fulfillment of the requirements of the "Training objectives" section is required, having acquired knowledge and understanding. |
Other information | Non-attending students are invited to contact the holder of the course for further clarifications about the exam program. During the lectures and seminars, the teacher can use slides and other multimedia and / or audiovisual material to support teaching. |
Course Syllabus | The course is aimed at those who want to acquire a linguistic, theoretical, and cultural competence related to the French language and French-speaking civilizations. Importance will be given to the concept of Francophonie, the challenges of protecting and promoting the French language, the countries included in the so-called “espace francophone” as well as the history of French language in a dual approach: cultural and institutional. Several readings on Francophone language policies and the contemporary perspectives of European Francophonie will be extrapolated from the reference texts. |
